What could be his agendas, or campaign themes? President Obama has been so popular that it could be just hard to come up with agendas that may win people's hearts.
Say, freedom theme can win big. After the President's campaign on, say, Buffet's claims on tax rates, however, it may be hard just to claim that sort of freedom will benefit the middle class. Especially after the President fought for keeping the tax cuts from his predecessor. "You pay the taxes, right? we will cut your tax" could be the theme all right. The budget plan, however, that the elected Republicans presented was all about cutting spending and taxes -- on the rich. Silly tactics indeed. Or smart ones, considering their sponsors.
Say, "we will eliminate all the rules and regulations" could be the theme. "Look how rich the lawyers are, it is all for the President's tactics on creating laws and regulations". You would need some campaign before setting that theme, however. That requires some strategies and would need the media support, if that could ever be possible.
The race is not between President Obama vs Senator Rand Paul, however. He may be more modern than others, in terms of personal freedom. His gender, social status and race probably won't affect negatively for the votes. He should have been used to the limelight than others. He did not have to fight very hard to sell his names, and may be less prone to be affected by grafts due to his heritage. He seemed to have gone through regular educational course, meaning disciplined in that way.
Indeed, he may be less sympathetic to the poor or the immigrants, less understanding how other nations look at the United States. What matters the most is whether he could control the rest of his party. That means, distributing money fairly among them according to their ranking and get their votes. Could he be capable in doing so, or could he get someone capable for doing so?
That seems impossible now that all the factions are fighting each other within the party.
