The refugee crisis: this half-hearted genocide

Bombing Syria and not accepting refugee is tactically wrong pathway to take.  They will be the easiest targets for terrorist groups.  Either stop bombing or accept the refugees.

Both Republicans and some of Democrats are riding on this popular scare tactics of the refugees associated with terrorism.  In face of opposition, the Obama Administration should

- Cut deals with Republicans.  After all, they are the proponent of   all wars in the Middle East, esp. the one that put us into the war   in Iraq.  They should take care of the consequences of the outcome;   lawlessness and chaos in the Middle East.

- Deal with Democrats that are taking dubious attitudes or blatantly   betraying the Administration for it stands for.  Elections are   coming.  If they are lesser version of the Republicans, why should   we support them?

- Deal with the public.  Be aware that this is a hot-button issue, and   goes right against their instinctive repulsion against all reasons.    The inflammatory response of the media should not be pressuring them   toward their knee-jerk reactions.

It should be noted that the refugees do not possess skills nor money for radical extremist groups.  The master-mind of 9/11 was a rich son of construction company mogul from oil-rich Saudi Arabia and not a refugee.

Nevertheless, if they are left in the wild by this half-hearted genocide in the Middle East, chances are that they would head right for taking actions themselves and join with the terrorist groups.

We certainly are not heading for all-out genocide.  The refugee crisis is the crisis of ours.  It is time for the US to take the leadership.
