I woke up and found out that Trump won the race. They say the election was rigged but in this way. Some say look Brexit and Colombia.
President Obama spoke on the election results. He promised a smooth transition of power and called out for unity. He praised Hilary as his Secretary of States and her campaign efforts.
As I thought about how Trump won the race, the word "consequence" and "consequential" are echoing in my head. She won the nomination, following the rules of the jungle, got funded. The verdict of the people in the US was cold and cruel like the rules of the jungle. The people did not select her, and opted for the risk factor, without even liking him.
The economy is well and does not demand governmental intervention. Tax cuts sound better than tax hikes. The Democratic Administration already started a war overseas and he opposed it. All that played in his victory. The most determining factor probably is in that, however, that she was not a 'strong candidate'. Her sanest Democratic plans and promises of equality could have superseded all that are associated negatively with her.
Now four years of Republican rule. It is not a good news for the science and technology. The technology shift will continue. Trump's incoherent theories and plans that are not, should be sorted out and come out as leadership. You can not build a wall at $8 billion. If you cut taxes, spending cuts must follow. Or borrow the amount from China, and that makes limiting import from China impossible if not the economy does.
President Obama will speak with him tomorrow. Here comes his chances of keeping this world sane. All the progress that made in his years will not be lost if he does not negotiate. His stance in his own party is fragile and volatile. The Bushes did not vote for him. He can and should negotiate what is better for the nation. "Choose hope', he said. Let us choose hope.
