French Presidential Election: The Debate

The French presidential candidates Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron debated on TV.  They will cast the final vote on Sunday.

Marine Le Pen claimed this election is about the national identity and culture.  In the debate she said the nation would be safer without open border.  She vowed that she would lower the retirement age at 60 and revive the national currency.  She described the US current politics as chaotic.

Emmanuel Macron, the centrist argues the nation's economy will be in trouble with the national currency.  He vowed that he would unite the nation that is polarized.  He emphasized the nation will be stronger with Europe.  He claimed he will protect the nation from terrorist attacks.
