Catalonia #DUI

After a week from the referendum for independence, Catalonia's Puigdemont is expected to address on the issue on Tuesday.

The declaration was expected on Monday while the Spanish court suspended the opening of the parliament. The governor demanded the Tuesday's session.

There have been campaigns around the globe against the independence move.

- The Catalonians are not ready for independence.
The region is economically independent, with its own constitution refused by the court.
- Independence is not what the Catalonians really want.
The polls last week indicate 90% are for independence.
- This independence move is a separation (negative).
It is only democracy if the people wants their own governing institutions.
- The independence is a crisis of the EU.
Denying their democracy is, and perhaps not otherwise.
- It is bad for the economy.
Some companies moved headquarters from the region, for fear it would lose the common market.

Some 350,000 protested against independence in Spain. In Catalonia hundreds buses were observed in carrying the 'unionists' protesters.
