The Khashoggi murder case is being attacked on its shocking cruelty. The images of the severed head and dismembered body parts are widely circulated online. Khashoggi was a dissident who had been an insider of the reclusive Saudi Kingdom. President Trump claims the aftermath of the incident as the worst cover-up.
Now the Saudi prosecutors say the Khashoggi murder was premeditated. The European Parliament passed a resolution calling out for arms embargo on Saudi Arabia. A bill was introduced in the Senate banning Saudi Arabia weapons export.
We must end US support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen and send the message that human lives are worth more than weapons manufacturers' profits. https://t.co/mEjapfdJYr— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) October 25, 2018
The cruelty of the murder case is creating headlines all over the world, the nation is accused of using the weapons against its neighboring Yemen, killing civilians. Yemen is one of the poorest nation on earth and the UN claims the situation is 'the worst humanitarian crises in this century'. The accusation against Saudi Arabia includes its ties with terrorist organization around the globe. Some cites 15 of 19 hijackers that carried out the 9/11 attack are Saudi Arabian nationals, and that Osama bin Ladin is from Saudi Arabia.
We should've punished Saudi Arabia after they funded the 9/11 hijackers. Now they are using U.S. weapons to commit atrocities in Yemen, not to mention murdering journalists. It is time to cut them off. https://t.co/qyxN3zkd5H #Kashoggi #SaudiArabia #Yemen #FreePress #journalism pic.twitter.com/3Hpr8yBAQH
