Khashoggi murder case: Saudi demands death penalty

Saudi prosecutors demand death penalty for the suspects of the Khashoggi murder case.

The purposes of the possible execution may aim at either showing the righteousness of the Kingdom 'justice served' or showing condolences, or revenge. By sending out the message that Saudi Kingdom is planning the executions, however, won't serve neither, if not serving the purpose of showing off how wrong the Kingdom is and that they can revenge on its people whenever the Kingdom wishes.

Damage control or what, it further lowers the reputation of the Kingdom, by showing how unfair the justice system is in the nation by not prosecuting the real culprit and by their resorting on such barbaric systems of executing people. By executing the death squad, we will lose the witnesses that can testify "who ordered it".

This clumsy cover-up attempt violates human rights, and humiliates those who stand on the principles. This is indeed clumsy in terms of its adverse effects and bad impressions that would implant in the mindset of people around the globe. The Kingdom would lose the hard-fought political allies with all the costly political involvement in the Western politics.

The Khashoggi murder case can possibly not end by executions.
