The government enters partial shutdown

The Senate did not even vote on the budget bill and the government is partially shuts down.

While the debate on the border wall continues in the Congress, the nation is divided on the issue. While there are voices against such a visible even ostensive display of privilege and arrogance, casting doubts on its political feasibility, the sense of security and assurance of its symbolic appearance itself appeals voters. It is only democratic that the people's voices should be heard. Or is it just populism? The GoFundMe page on the wall raised whopping $14M in five days.

While the President claims the issue is security, while the debate already is very political. Not only it is a politicized, the Democratic base is at stake. Neither puts out the numerical goals of, say crime rates. Will it surely secure our streets? In the language of NRA, we can not prevent the real bad guys from entering the nation. Therefore the wall is ineffective.

We indeed do not need NRA presiding our courts. Lowering the number of easy guns will significantly reduce the number of gun crimes. Should it be the wall that deters the criminals?

The wall debate is on-going, and so as the shutdown.
