The Senate vs President Trump: End US Participation in Yemen's Civil War

The Senate is voting on the US involvement in the war in Yemen. The war has devastated the civilian life of Yemen. Millions are starving, and the US is accused of aiding Saudi and its genocide.

Meanwhile, a shocking statement came from the State Department. The Department claims ending the US support for the Saudi coalition sends a wrong message.

Will it send a 'wrong' message? The Yemen peace is ongoing in Stockholm. The talk started last week and while many issues are not solved yet, the parties concerned settled on prisoners' swap. The Saudi side opposes the UN oversight in Hodeidah, which is crucial in securing imports of food. Some 90% of import goes through that port.
