The wall budget

The Congress is coping with President Trump's demand on $5B for the wall. The President insisted that he would not compromise on the amount. On Democratic side, Sen. Schumer and Rep. Pelosi offered $1.6B.

The Presidential challenge has not gone thus far, online, and the media has not been going along. Immigration and the wall is a very sensitive topic. Whatever the amount they are paying is unpopular among the open-minded, liberal and compassionate Democrats since they are posing themselves as -- siding with the immigrants (seriously?). After all, this is a nation of immigrants. Only that they came here earlier, invented English of their own, etc. The media has other concerns, such as stock market performance.

The statistics say, that if we have Republican House, however, the stocks won't be affected negatively during shutdown. The tendency is so if we have Republican Senate. More or less, that is.
