Copyright Reforms

Is there ways protecting copyrighted works online?

If something is online, there is only 'casual' informal ways of protecting the works, be it images, movies, or music. What they do now is making the portion a part of the movies.

The big tech companies should take the blame. Facebook should be responsible for the live broadcast of the rampage in NZ. Evidently, it is the same thing as guns. You should not sell them at supermarkets like Walmart. BTW, they already filter the contents anyway.

Arbitrary application of laws certainly hampers and mostly used by the power. Everyone can watch some "decent" contents some ways but not some particular movies online, especially they go against the incumbent. You would encounter gun related stupid and disgusting YouTube videos (mostly performed by so-called angry white male) a whole lot online yet not videos that deal with taboo issues such as the US forces killing people in Yemen. Nor Israeli forces (you may have some slightly higher chances of encountering those than what the US forces are doing in the battle fields). The people dying by heavy bombardment by the US forces and allies, those videos are not ranked highly and unlikely listed as popular.

While those filters work perfectly most of the time, the protection for copyrighted works does not. Could some laws alter the situation?
