Scapegoating

Scapegoating is such a popular measure still in this internet age. Even if we have the worldwide access and can read what they say on each side, scapegoating works like a miracle. You literally can read the both sides claiming the opposite sides of the issue; say Ukrainians captured a Russian tanker. What would the Russian people say? "Be aware of the consequences"? That would help the anti-Russian sect. No, that is not the Russians say. It is the French media propagated the notion, helping greatly the electoral landslide by the ruling party. Their nationalism is urging them for votes that can take a confrontational attitude toward Russia. It still is cool since Russia has not retaliate against the measure -- before the election.

Scapegoating is such a popular measure everywhere around the globe. Literally in this modern era, we read what the both sides say and assess the consequences on political situations on both sides. Still the scapegoating works. The trade dispute between Japan and South Korea excited the people on both sides and the support rates of PM Abe SHINZO and President MOON Jae-in skyrocketed. The South Koreans claim they would boycott the Japanese products. The Japanese people claim they would enhance further on on the measures prohibiting selling products.

Scapegoating works here in the States, even in this modern era with the SNS and the Internet. By now everyone in the entire world know what sort of a person the President is indeed, from his personal tastes on foods, clothing, and his styles on hiring/firing people. His vitriol accusations and criticisms countered by likewise comments against his credentials literally prevented the people ever talking about the topics that created issues -- for us. The wealth disparity is not about his character but their media and social dominance. The discrimination is not typified by his comments but in the pay equality and types of the expected jobs. The teachers union is not about Devos but the politician not using the public services. The scapegoating can 'vent the hot air' yet here is this, they do not talk about the rest of us that use the public services. Would people believe President Trump is impeachable, and if not, is it about the next election? Whopping some 70% of Republicans support President Trump.

Scapegoating is a political tactics that works for elections, venting the air, and for the approval rates. It does not solve problems, however, since it does not address the issues that concern the rest of us. Let us hope the Democratic Candidate debate will bring us that helps us (and not them).
