Greenland

President Trump is reportedly considering buying Greenland from Denmark. His proposition has met with oppositions from Denmark and Greenland, claiming the land is "not for sale". The proposal that could have taken as a good will gesture turned out a dire and most blatant show of the US style arrogance.

Is it better for the people in Greenland, if it goes under the US protection? The prospect of economic merit, and the political protection by perhaps the most influential entity in the world certainly should entice the whole population there, if properly planned. Their economy will thrive and not otherwise. The modern technology greatly enhance their living standards. More foods and material wealth guaranteed. The favorable media coverage of otherwise forgotten island shields the island from all the divide-conquer tactics by the other worldly orders.

Greenland boasts 100% literacy rate and its official language is Greenlandic. What of the fate of the 56,000 people there? Will they choose independence from the Danish monarchy?
