Metaphor is that expression. Any idea that comes up in the head is described in abstract terms, in metaphor. We generalize the object of the outer world, and think in terms of that generalized, abstract terms, a metaphor.
A word, is in a way, metaphor. If we talk politics, we deal with the astronomical figure of the governmental budgets as if it is the problem of household budgets.
We deal with a political figure in similar ways. Those star figures acts on behalf of our interests and we discuss the issues in abstract terms. The statistics and figures may be termed as 'concrete' numbers while they still represents abstract concepts.
Even the stock market can represent by figures and -- metaphorically, by bad news. The media may go beyond their usual discretion, if not the usual Presidential harassment. In such case, the economy mars politics.
The coming up #DemDebate will host less candidates. The metaphorical harassment like racial, sexist, and prejudiced against the minority groups undermine what the Democratic party stands for. Their battle matters. They matter in our ways of life.
