Retaliation as a strategy

Iranian major general Qassim Soleimani was killed by a rocket attack. The US claims the responsibility. Could this develop into a major conflict in the region?

'Relative morality' is in most of the cases regarded as lacking principles and integrity, esp. of a politician, or a nation.

Assuming, however, of a unified world under unified value sets could prove dangerous. What is bad for us, is not necessarily bad for them. Ignorance of scientific knowledge is not considered immoral
among politicians as a show of being a good businessperson while among some voters, it is a dire betrayal against humanity.

Could the 'relative morality' be a strategy?

If you hit the enemy by far greater force, could that compensates the lack of strategies? Could it if that answers the voices of people there 'awed' by the general? President Trump openly claimed he would not look for a conflict; and that would look for ending the hostility.
