A short cut

A short-cut means not taking the necessary steps for achieving the goal. What steps do they assume we should be taking for climbing up the ladder? 

 Inappropriate? Unfit for? Overestimation? 

 I am sick and tired of being told that I am disqualified for the work. Is my opinion unfit for my status? Should I be qualified for my political stance? 

What is needed for supporting a politician other than my own self believing in them?
