Bahrain says it will recognize the state of Israel.
What is notable, however, is that the media mostly is silent on this issue. Is it because Palestine denounced the deal? Is it because of the coming up election? The poll indicates a tie in Florida.
Meanwhile, President Trump tweeted on the Iranian deal, which has been one of his campaign promises of the 2016 election. Why should we pay up the enemy state of Iran for giving up the nuclear programs? Who got the money in the end? Who backs Iranians? Has he threatened the Obama Administration for the deal?
The questions that have not been answered lost their meaning as President Trump took office in 2017. He canceled the deal. President Trump is strongly favored in Israel; the Bahrain deal would only anger the Iranian side. Would that include the media, that always has been with the Democratic Party?
This bold move that could stir nerves of the Iranian backer could be backed up by their political foes -- or not. What would be our national interests in this case, and what could go against the deal? Friends in need or a fair chance of regaining the footing against?
