The way you waste the entire afternoon with Florida DEO

Imagine you're making a phone call at FLDEO, Florida's state's reemployment assistance center. In the morning, the line was busy. They did not even put you on hold nor take your number for a callback.

So you waited. In the afternoon, you finally get hold of the 'on-hold' service. You put your number and waited. Then someone (A) called you.

Well, no phone call came. I put my number again and waited. The person made me wait on the phone for a while then he was just started talking ...

"your application is pending because ..."

Then the line was cut off. Literally. I waited half expecting he might call back. He just could have told me right away what's holding off the decision. It's been a waste of his time and mine. As that he did not call, again I put my number and waited. Has it been all intentional?

Now, when I got the call, the line was 'intercepted' or 'interrupted'. A short choppy conversation with hardly any sound coming out from my phone. I put my number again and waited.

Then I got the call. She (K) treated me like a bug but she conducted her business so far as telling me what she read from the screen. Then said this is an issue for different departments. She gave me the number and I made the call again.

This time, the person just hung up with nothing. Now it gets late, I cannot even put my number.
