President Biden: We'll be out of Afghanistan -- soon

President Biden spoke on the war in Afghanistan and said the US troops will start withdrawing from the region on May first. The President said the US military force is not the solution for the region. The US military presence indeed has fueled hostility by those who regard the forces as prolonged occupation by the West.

President Biden stated the international forces already achieved the objectives and the forever war should end. The cost of war far exceeds the merit of war indeed if there is such thing except the defense lobbyists gain at such occasions. Our tax money should not be spent on nurturing the hostility against us while fattening the hard-liners for whatever pride they have for implanting the images of the military superpower that uses the term "human rights" and "democracy" as reasons for military occupation.

President Biden said it is rare that the President's family serve the military and said he understands the pain of the military families whose family members suffer from deaths or injuries. The lawmakers should burden themselves with the ultimate costs and the lost limbs by the warfare that they started.

There is no good war nor bad peace, after all.
