G7: the division

The G7 Summit is closing today.

The successful meeting should only come with mutual understanding. The summit is held in England. The dominant language used at the conference is: English. The more able speaker of the language, the more advantage they have. This is unfair and giving esp. non Germanic nor non-Indo European language speakers.

The mutual understanding is not possible without some understanding of the language and the pragmatic use of the language. The exotic interpretation of 'you' always comes in the way of making friends. No matter how charismatic leader he thinks he is, Clinton does not define you. No matter how Obama betrays his woman, he always insists 'having'. It's the culture of the US.

There is no need for emphasizing the importance of the language in such occasions. Otherwise, you may think they targeted China and the 'cold war' situation divides the East from the West. While the US 'is back', the divide is between the have's -- not women, but money -- and the rest of us.

Global Minimum Tax, Vaccine Patent 'suspension', Ending coal powerplants, these may have been the themes of the summit. The way it sounds, it may simply ends up with free vaccines and more infrastructure spending.
