As the talk on freeing up the patents of the vaccines mounts, the Biden Administration announced their plans of providing a billion doses.
For the economy, the wide availability of vaccines benefits the whole world. The pharmaceutical companies gained tens of billions of dollars for profit by the vaccines, while providing big funding for the lawmakers. There will be things called mid-term elections and despite the economy is the big factor in the elections, the Administration fell short of freeing up the patents for increased production of the vaccines.
Now we hear from the media that the vaccines may not as effective as touted. The Singapore paper says the effectiveness is as half as claimed by the company. The vaccines have killed thousands of people and only now they start talking about how the vaccines affected our organs, esp. the heart.
The big pharma now is fed by our tax money for the vaccines. We should raise our voice and demand for the public good, they should free up the patents for more productions of the vaccines.
