As the Texas governor banned the vaccine mandate, this nation is opening the southern and northern borders. The US-Canada and the US-Mexico borders will be open for vaccinated travelers in November. It is the same thing as hosting the Olympic games while only a handful of people had been vaccinated.
The highly politicized argument on personal freedom whether or not a citizen should be vaccinated is affecting the companies decisions on the vaccine mandate of the employees. The companies can take either side. Blame on Biden and force the mandate for the safety of the employees or defy the capitalistic ideal and let personal freedom take over. After all, the vaccines are cheaper than the cost of ICUs.
They will be fighting the midterm election next year. They must create a highly politicized agenda that can engage the voters, as with abortion. In this case, lives are at stake. They are taking human lives hostage and using them for their political gains. If the agenda 'hits' and gets heated, more donations will flow in. That's the money they use for their political campaigns.
Worldwide, some nations suffer more than others. You may notice a particular nation is looking at the surge of the cases now. Yes. It's Russia. Then you may sympathize with the people in Russia -- they may not have our Western vaccines. Yes, politics plays out in such a way that may seem so cruel. The vaccines! It's a cheap remedy for this crisis that costs the lives of people.
Then you may notice one thing here. The death tolls are higher in the States! Do they not have the vaccines? Can they afford it? Is race an issue? Do they suspect a fraud?
The freeing up the vaccine patent issue I believe is an ethical one. The big pharma has profited from the sales of the vaccines. So much so that they created malaria vaccines. The dilemma again is mind-boggling.
Let us sympathize with the people in Russia. Can anything be done? And then, let us sympathize with the people in this political struggle here in this nation. What of the media campaign? If they take the precautions, they may survive. Wear masks, keep your distance, wash your hands, ventilate.
