Nothing can be attained by torturing the prisoners now. Bin Ladin was killed. What are the reasons for them to be there?
They are to become martyrs if anything happens to them, especially the innocent ones. Those who look innocent to them, that is. Not to us. If there is such thing as trust, the US is going to lose the credibility.
And now they are losing my trust by not getting this right. No discussion, no human rights appeals, no nothing. Any sympathies? Torturing for nothing?
When thousands of the US soldiers die in Afghanistan in the 'war against terrorism' with no clear objectives, showing them the cause why they are there is important. Also that it is important to show us what the purpose of putting the prisoners there.
